It was a cold day on the beautiful Fernbank Farmstay. I have organised an inspiration shoot and this was the day .
As I walk into the kitchen I find Meg the owner of Fernbank Farmstay in the kitchen with a lovely couple, soon to be wed at the venue. They were going to make jam as part of their wedding favors. Now this is not your ordinary jam. The couple hand picks, with Meg, fruit from the venue itself and turns it into delicious bottles of jam. What a great idea and it makes the favor much more personal.
Meg has been the owner of Fernbank Farmstay for 27 years. When all her children went on their journeys she decided to share her beautiful property. The structure and design of the garden was developed by Michael Cooke Garden Design and the property is truly beautifully laid out. Meg describes her property as “heaven on earth” and she is absolutely right.
Justine Kelso from Fiddlesticks Floral Design was such a star! She arrived at Fernbank farm with a van full of flowers and started making floral arrangements and bouquets and pin holes to spare. Her arrangements are romantic with exceptional attention to detail. The flower arrangements are neat and organised and it is obvious that she has a clear vision of what the arrangement should look like.
Jesline from iBlush did the make up and a stellar job as usual. I have worked with her a number of times in the past and she has proven to be excellent to work with, quick and precise. She managed to highlight the model's natural beauty, while matching the colours of the wedding and working on a tight schedule.
The custom made suits by Montagio are just beautifully made and fitted. I liked them because their suits have a vintage feel to them and they are custom designed and tailor made. The Montagio shop is in the Sydney CBD where they tailored the models suits to fit a few days before the shoot and we had no issues at all.
Sherry Tamin of Sherry Tamin Couture provided the wedding dresses. The wedding dresses where beautiful, elegant and fitted perfectly. They are situated in Rozelle NSW and their dresses are beautifully designed and custom made. Their attention to detail and delicate patterns are truly something special. If Lace is your thing this is your place !
The model's shoes were from Iron Fist Ladies. These are not your ordinary wedding shoes. In fact they are not your ordinary high heels at all. Their unique style and design formed part of what made the shoot different and unique. They brought an edgy, punk rock detail which completed the overall look. Wedding shoes should be colorful and interesting .
The flower girl dresses were provided by Tea Princess and the girls looked gorgeous! Tea Princess is situated in Cronulla and they have everything a little girl can dream of. Their show room is beautifully laid out and everything is handled with the utmost care. Their Customer service is above and beyond and it will certainly put a smile on your little ones' face.
We accessorized the little girls with Vintage Angel wings. These are specialy hand made by Katrina Dale owner of Imagine for kids. Where you can find anything from wings to super hero capes.Imagine for kids are situated in Terry Hills Nsw .
The fairy wings by Imagine for Kids made them look like cute fairy princesses. They absolutely loved their wings.
We set up various scenes on different parts of Fernbank farm, using some of their fabulous props to create interesting settings. We used some decorations from Fluffy Decorations to decorate some of the trees and it gave a nice festive feeling. Their decorations are beautiful, gorgeous and fluffy!
Wedding Cakes where made by Jasmine from Project Cake. Jasmine is Meg's (owner of Fernbank Farmstay) daughter. What a great team they are!
Jasmine worked so hard to bring a full wedding cake with dessert cakes for the shoot. The cakes are custom made with only the finest ingredients, to compliment any wedding or function.
Her creations are elegant, beautiful and delicious! I know because when the day's hard work was over, we all gathered in the kitchen at Fernbank Farm and had some coffee, cake and a well deserved rest.
